During 2025–26, Lahore Garrison University translated its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals into practical action across health, education, inclusion, gender equality, sustainable communities, and partnerships. This report presents one year of institutional progress through documented activities, partnerships, figures, and measurable outputs. Behind these numbers are efforts to expand opportunities, strengthen learning, support healthier communities, promote inclusion, and build a more responsible and sustainable university. LGU’s SDG journey reflects a simple principle: progress is meaningful when it reaches people, creates opportunities, and strengthens the communities we serve.
Health is central to learning, participation and quality of life. At LGU, our approach extends beyond responding to illness to promoting awareness, prevention, early identification and access to support. This includes reaching people where they are, recognising potential health concerns and connecting them with appropriate guidance and care. Our SDG 3 journey brings together community health and nutrition screening, thalassemia awareness and screening, voluntary blood donation, and psychological well-being and counselling. Together, these efforts reflect LGU's commitment to building a culture of care, prevention and shared responsibility for well-being across the University and the wider community.
Outreached to rural communities within ~20 km of the University (including Jaman and Thether) with two free camps recording 222 participant attendances across LGU, a Federal Government School, and three surrounding communities. Assessments covered body composition (127), bone health (130), random glucose (75), and reported dietary practices (134).
Funded screening costs for three thalassemia screening and awareness activities with Fatima Jinnah Medical University and Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Center, reaching 1,350 eighth-semester students to promote awareness of carrier status and informed family-planning decisions.
